New Horizons in PhotovoltaicsPolar ... Topological ... Ferroelectric ... Hot Carrier
August 31-September 1, 2017 at the University of Pennsylvania

Welcome

The field of anomalous photovoltaics has an interesting and illustrious history, spanning more than 50 years. A series of breakthroughs in the past 5 years has reignited this field, including:

  • *new understanding of the fundamental physics
  • *broader exploration of bulk photovoltaic effects in new materials
  • *pioneering of novel photovoltaic collection geometries for hot carriers
  • *new connections between anomalous photovoltaics and topological properties

This workshop aims to bring together the leading experimental and theoretical researchers in order to exchange information and set new directions for the field in the coming years.

Hosted by:

  • *Andrew M. Rappe, University of Pennsylvania
  • *Jonathan Spanier, Drexel University
  • *Vladimir Fridkin, Drexel University and Institute of Crystallography, Russian Academy of Science, Moscow

Sponsored by:

  • *The University of Pennsylvania
  • *Drexel University
  • *The University of Pennsylvania Department of Chemistry
  • *Pennergy: the Penn Center for Energy Innovation

We are no longer accepting abstracts, but we would still welcome your participation.
